Reduce food waste, save money and
simplify your life…

• Plan your meals and snacks a week in
advance, write the shopping list and
stick to it.
• Make double the amount and eat the
next day - saves time and energy too.

Slow down and save cash
Think Global, Act Local

If you have to drive here are 3 top tips to save money by reducing fuel consumption.

1. Remove your roof rack when not in use. It creates drag.

2. Keep your tyres at the right pressure.

3. Try going slower on the faster roads. 55mph is the suggested peak efficiency speed. I have taken to trailing lorries on the A2. They hover around 60mph. It is a small thing but I reckon I’ll get another 20% from my fuel doing these simple things. I’ll let you know.

This not only saves a bit of cash, it reduces air pollution, helps the car live longer and slowing down is good for our stress levels!
